Overview

The Ganges/Ganga River's banks are home to many of India's vibrant and ceremonial aspects. It rises in the Himalayas and empties into the Bay of Bengal by flowing eastward and downhill. Since the river is revered as a spiritual site, many pilgrims travel there to take a quick plunge or to scatter the ashes of their departed loved ones. The significance of the river's banks in terms of tradition, culture, and religion is unquestionable. The 8-day, 7-night Ganges Tour includes stops at all the important locations along the river's banks and tributaries. You simply become captivated, even if it is more of a spiritual journey and is equally fascinating for merely visitors.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi -

The journey starts in Delhi, where you check in and spend the night.

Day 2: Delhi-

The second day is set out for local touring; immediately following breakfast, you go for a tour of Delhi. There are several fortresses and mosques dotted across the historic Mughal capital. One of the biggest and most well-known mosques in the nation is located immediately behind the vibrant markets of Chandni Chowk, which are accessible from Old Delhi. You also go to Gandhi's burial site, Raj Ghat. The Red Fort, India Gate, Parliament House, Qutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, and more are among the city's other attractions. You go back to the hotel in the evening to unwind before going to bed.

Day 3: Mathura - Delhi

After breakfast is finished, you get ready to travel for Mathura. It is around three hours away from Delhi and very near. Given that it is where Lord Krishna was born, Mathura is one of the most popular pilgrimage locations for his followers. You settle into the hotel upon arrival and depart for the Mathura city tour. There are several temples there, each with their own importance. Some of them are well-known, such as the Sri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple, which is located at the location of the Lord's birth. After overthrowing the tyrant, the Lord slept at the Vishram Ghat; another significant temple is the Dwaekadeesh temple, where all the devotees congregate throughout any event. You return back in the evening and stay overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Allahabad, Mathura, and Agra

You will depart for Agra after breakfast, which only takes around 1.5 hours to get to. The Taj Mahal, one of the seven wonders of the world, is Agra's principal attraction and is followed by sightseeing after you are there. Other examples are the enormous and beautiful Agra Fort and the delicately constructed Itmad-Ud-Daulah mausoleum. You arrive at the station in the evening to board the overnight Express Train to Allahabad.

Day 5: Varanasi - Allahabad

You will be taken to your accommodation in Allahabad by the staff in the morning. After breakfast is given, you may begin your journey of Allahabad. You will go to the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna, and the Saraswati of myth. Following that, you get to view the Ashoka pillar, a few temples, and Ghats in Allahabad. After lunch, you start driving the four hours to Varanasi. Once you arrive in Varanasi, check into your accommodation and unwind for the evening. You'll spend the night at the hotel.

Day 6: Varanasi -

After waking up, you'll take a Ganges riverboat cruise. It is fascinating to witness individuals making offerings and bathing in the river during this experience since it is both mysterious and calm all at once. Later on in the day, you will be taken on a tour of the city that includes stops at significant locations including the University, Bharat Mata Temple, and Vishwanath Temple. You spend the night there.

Day 7: Delhi - Varanasi
You will go for Sarnath, a significant Buddhist site, after breakfast. The Lord Buddha gave his students discourses in this location. The Dhamekha Stupa, the Archeological Museum, and the Chaukhandi Stupa are only a few examples of the many Buddhist temples and stupas that make up the principal attractions. You can relax in the day before taking a train to Delhi in the evening. It takes place throughout night.

Day 8: Delhi
When you arrive in Delhi the next morning, you check into your hotel. You have the entire day to unwind in the luxury of the hotel. Your transportation to your individual airports and train stations later that evening brings an end to your protracted and enchanted voyage down the Ganges.
