Later, it takes you to the jewel of Desert - Jaisalmer, where you can indulge in the beautiful displays of traditional Rajasthani life at the Jaisalmer fort - and also authentic stay in desert

End the tour with an exploration of majestic havelis of Bikaner before being dropped back at Jaipur.

Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVE JAIPUR

Arrive at the pink city, Jaipur between 11-1 pm, meet your tour lead at the airport and explore Jaipur, Visit the Hawa Mahal - Palace of the Winds and the City Palace, where you'll explore the cluster of courtyards with museums that house rare collections of textiles, carpets, paintings, and antique weapons. Later head to the Jantar Mantar, a medieval observatory with elegantly-sculpted oversized instruments which, even today, are astonishingly accurate in their astronomical measurements.drive to Pushkar, transfer to the hotel

DAY 2: PUSHKAR

After breakfast, explore Pushkar , its famous for its Lake and Brahma Temple, which is the only temple in the world dedicated to god Brahma and later drive to Jodhpur and transfer to the hotel

DAY 3: JODHPUR 

After breakfast, proceed for a city tour of Jodhpur - visit the Meherangarh Fort, situated on a low sandstone hill. The palace apartments like Sukh Mahal, Phool Mahal, and Sheesh Mahal etc are beautifully decorated and house Jewellery, costumes, armoury, palanquins, howdahs and other remnants of the past. See the Jaswant Thada, an imposing marble memorial to Maharaja Jaswant Singh II built in 1899. Later the royal crematorium and three other cenotaphs were also built here.

DAY 4: JODHPUR TO JAISALMER

After breakfast, drive to Jaisalmer (280kms/5.5 hrs); Check-in at  village desert stay (42 kms from Jaisalmer) - stay in cool huts of the village where a local family will be providing us with Bonfire and local Rajasthani dinner to welcome new year!!

DAY 5: EXPLORE JAISALMER 

After breakfast, leave for a city tour of Jaisalmer. Visit the Gadsisar Lake, a water conservation tank made around 1400 A.D. by the then maharaja of Jaisalmer, Maharwal Gadsi Singh. Visit the famous Havelis (mansions) known for their frescoes. The most elaborate and magnificent of all the Jaisalmer havelis is the Patwon Ki Haveli.

DAY 6: BIKANER

After breakfast, drive to Sam Sand Dunes to witness majestic sunrise on dunes, later drive to Bikaner (350 kms/6hrs) - this desert town in northern Rajasthan was founded in 1488 by Rao Bikaji. Later proceed for half day city tour of Bikaner visiting Junagarh Fort - one of the most interesting forts in Rajasthan, one that was built on desert plains and one that was never captured!

DAY 7: JODHPUR AIRPORT DROP

After breakfast, drive to Jodhpur; Arrive Jodhpur for transfer to Jodhpur Airport / Railway Station to board your flight / train for onward destination
