What makes this tour special

The tour package includes an in-depth tour of the beautiful city of Baku, with its many temples, walled settlements, churches and mosques.

From Baku, you can explore cities such as Gabala, Quba, Gobustan and smaller villages such as Red Town, Icheri Sheher and Yanardag.

Historical and archaeological attractions include the Mud Volcanoes in Gobustan, Neolithic paintings and the walled Old City of Baku.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival at Baku & City Tour 

  • After completing your immigration you will meet our representative at Airport.
  • Later you will depart for Hotel. Check-in into the hotel.
  • After enjoying breakfast at your hotel, head out for Baku City Tour 
  • Our tour program starts with Old City or Inner City is the historical core of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The Old City is the most ancient part of Baku, which is surrounded by walls were well protected. (Walking tour)
  •  Later experience the happening street of Nizami Street known for shopping. The street runs through the city's downtown from west to east. It begins from Abdulla Shaig Street, in mountainous part of the city and ends at railroad bed on  Sabit Orujov  Street, near a monument to Shah Ismail Khatai in “Black City”.
  • Tour continues with the visit to the charming example of modern architecture - The Heydar Aliyev Center – a 57,500 m2 building complex in Baku (Photo shoot outside)

Day 2: Visit Fire Temple & Fire Mountain 

  • The day starts with the Absheron Peninsula Excursion which consists of Yanardag and Ateshgah.
  • The first stop is Ateshgah, which is a fire worshipper’s temple that can be found in the Surakhany settlement. It is a symbol of the existence of Zoroastrianism as a religion in the region.
  • Near the Digah settlements, you can also explore Yanardag or the “burning mountain”
  • Overnight stay in Baku

Day 3: Gabala Tour 

  • After breakfast at your hotel in Baku, start a trip to Gabala – the erstwhile capital of Caucasian Albania. This was also the central point of the Silk Road that has existed for 2500 years.
  • The distance up to Baku 225 km (4 hours)
  • You can visit the Qafqaz Tufandag Mountain Resort and ride on the cableway that winds its way through the picturesque Caucasian Mountains.
  • Nohur Lake -It is located in Qabala, another region of Azerbaijan that one passes when travelling to Sheki. Lake is not on the way but if you go a bit deeper towards the mountains this beautiful view opens up in front of you.
  • Overnight stay in Baku

Day 4: Visit Gobustan and the Mud Volcanoes & Departure

  • Check out of the hotel after breakfast, and proceed for Gobustan and the Mud Volcanoes
  • These volcanoes are a place of great natural beauty and have been awarded the honour of being a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
  • The next attraction on the itinerary is the Gobustan open-air museum where you can see Neolithic paintings in person.
  • You can then avail a transfer back to the airport from where a departing flight will take you back to your original destination.
