Itinerary

Day 1: Dalhousie 
Amritsar - Amritsar (2 Nights)

Visitors will arrive at the Amritsar Airport in accordance with their flight schedule. Meet your Veena World tour guide at the airport when you arrive, and then go to Dalhousie, a little tinsel town scattered across five hills close to the Dhaulandhar mountain range. We will afterwards have some free time to unwind. We do a brief Meet & Greet session in the evening.

Day 2: Dalhousie
Khajjiar, Chamba, Dalhousie, and Khajjiar

Today, we travel to Khajjiar, sometimes referred to as Little Switzerland because of its stunning natural scenery. Adventure-seekers may pay extra to participate in exhilarating sports like paragliding, zorbing, and horseback riding, among others. Following that, we travel to the Khajjiar Sanctuary, which is well-known for its Deodar Forest, Grasslands, and an easy hiking track that leads to an unspoiled forest and a breathtaking view of the Pir Panjal mountains. We take a stroll along the Ravi River in the evening and go boating at Chamera Dam.

Day 3: Dalhousie
Dharamshala to Dalhousie (2 Nights)

Today, we travel to Dharamshala, the Dalai Lama's residence, which is a hilltop city on the edge of the Himalayas surrounded by cedar trees. On the way, we stop at Kangra Fort, the biggest fort in the Himalayas, which is perched on a hill and offers a panoramic view of the Kangra valley. After that, we go to Chinmaya Tapovan, an ashram in the Kangra Valley at the base of the Dhauladhar peaks. We stop by the meditation room here. A little stroll through the thick pine forest to the Ashram provides panoramic vistas. Arriving at Dharamshala, free time to unwind and explore the area.

Day 4: Dharmshala

We tour Dharamshala today. The Dharamshala Cricket Stadium is the location of our picture stop. The Dharamshala Skyway ropeway ride offers breathtaking aerial views of the picturesque town after that. Upon arrival, we take a tour around the well-known McLeod Ganj, a charming village with a strong Tibetan influence that is tucked away among breathtaking hills and verdant vegetation. Give McLeod Ganj some time to be discovered. Shopping is possible in the Tibetian Bazar. We then visit Saint John's Church, a Victorian-era church constructed in the 18th century, and Bhagsu Naag Temple. The Dalai Lama Monastery (subject to operation) is a tranquil Temple complex renowned for its ornate façade and colourful prayer chambers.

Day 5: Dharamshala
Amritsar - Dharamshala (2 Nights)

We travel to Amritsar today. Upon arrival, we visit Jallianwala Bagh, a historic park and national treasure preserved in honour of those slain in the Jallianwala Massacre on April 13, 1919, and the Partition Museum, the first museum in the world devoted to the 1947 Partition. The holiest Gurdwara and most significant Sikhism pilgrimage destination is the Golden Temple, also known as Harmandir Sahib or Darbar Sahib. Here, we can also observe Akal Takht, the Khalsa's highest seat of power and the everlasting throne. A feast for the eyes and spirit is undoubtedly the golden temple at night.

Day 6: Amritsar

We are visiting the Attari Wagah Border today (depending on operations) to observe the illustrious lowering of the flags ceremony, a daily military ritual shared by the security forces of India and Pakistan since 1959. We take in the Gobindgarh Fort's Sound & Light Show later in the evening. The remaining hour is free for shopping.

Day 7: Amritsar
Amritsar Farm, in Amritsar (1 Night)

The Punjab State War Heroes Memorial & Museum was established to honour the great sacrifices made by Punjabis while serving in the armed services. We visit it this morning. We then travel to Amritsar Farm. Here, we indulge in Punjabi food. Here, we partake in a genuine farm experience that includes a bullock cart ride, a tractor ride, a walking tour of the farm, and a dairy farm.

Day 8: Amritsar (Farm)
